Looking for a way to experience cultures from around the world while staying right here in Colorado? Look no further! During this two-week camp, we will dig deep into the traditions of other countries and experience their art, food and practices! We’ll take dance lessons, cook ethnic cuisine, compete in our very own Olympics, and much more! We’ll have sessions with our art specialist where we will create cultural masterpieces and visit local kitchens to eat delicious, authentic food. During our second week, we’ll travel to the true South Western part of the state and visit Canyon of the Ancients National Monument to learn about the culture of the ancestral Pueblo people and the indigenous history of the American Southwest. We’ll spend a day with Crow Canyon Archaeological Center and participate in hands-on programming to dive deep into ancient history, science, culture and archeology. We’ll see how dramatically culture in America has changed since 600 CE! We’ll even get the chance to write to our very own pen pals from around the world! While we are not experiencing world culture, we will be hiking, adventuring and exploring the incredible vistas of our Colorado back yard. Join us on this trip and emerge with a better understanding of cultures from “around the world” and an increased sense of wanderlust!
