Join us this summer for a fun and exciting two-week theater program! Directed by local talents Elizabeth Forsythe and Angela Watkins, this camp will be an exploration into The Ute Indian Creation Story. We will begin with each student picking a technical area of theater to focus on: set design, costume design, prop making, or instrument making. Then, together, we will tell The Ute Indian Creation Story through an original script while learning skilled acting techniques. We will dance, sing, play instruments, act, build and create as a collective to make something that has never been made before! We will host this camp in the beautiful Telluride outdoors and explore the landscape through Native American Theater techniques. This program will culminate in a performance outdoors, weather permitting, with a dress rehearsal for local preschool classes. Have fun, create and learn with us!
