Calling all aspiring future flyers and pilots! Join Telluride Academy and the Pinhead Institute durinng this two week long aeronautical journey as we take you on a learning quest up in the clouds!! During week one, we will learn about natural flyers. Our subjects will be Birds, Bats, Butterflies and Bees. Learning what gives them their super powers to fly among the trees. We will take daily hikes in search of our winged friends and spend time in the science lab looking at some of our planet’s smallest flyers up close under microscopes. Week two, we will focus on mechanical and man-made flyers! When we aren’t working in the lab constructing our very own flyers from scratch to see what characteristics creates the best glide, we will be conducting experiments and learning about the engineering science involved in mechanical flight!
