This trip is going to be RAD! Join “Jack of all Trades” and Academy instructor Josh Bailey along with a handful of your friends for a multi-sport road trip to some of Colorado’s best kept secret stashes of adventure! Our journey will begin in the heart of central Colorado as we set up base camp in Penitente Canyon. This off the beaten path locale is a paradise of rock climbing and mountain biking. Beginners and veterans of both sports will find ample opportunities to challenge themselves on rock and on trail. With over 300 sport climbing routes waiting to be conquered and miles of single-track laying steps from your front door, every day will be a “choose-your-own-adventure” experience. Evenings will be spent grazing on your own delicious culinary creations and gazing at one of the planet’s most magical night skies. After a quick pit-stop in Alamosa, Colorado and a well-deserved soak in the soothing waters of Spalshland Hot Springs we’ll head north for a “Surf and Sand” session at Great Sand Dunes National Park. Our final adventure will be a multi-day river trip on the Gunnison River as it travels through the rough and rugged Dominguez-Escalante Wilderness area. Under the guidance and instruction of the Academy’s whitewater instructors, you will learn to read rivers, perfect your paddling techniques and set up comfortable river camps. With side hikes to secret swimming holes, remote river beaches, sport climbing and speedy single-track all at your fingertips you will be sure to find your sense of adventure as you get lost on the remote roads, rocks and rivers of Colorado.
