Camp Telluride

Ages: 8 - 9

Dates: July 22 - August 1

Tuition: $950
Overnights: 2

Challenge Level:

Camp Telluride programs are the cornerstone of the Academy and represent our longest running and most popular model of programming. With a focus on outdoor exploration and fun, CT 8-9 groups will spend a majority of their days exploring outside getting to know the rivers, lakes, mesas and trails of the Telluride region. All participants will also take part in an exciting overnight adventure once a week to special location located within the Telluride region. CT 8-9 participants will experience outdoor adventures such as rock climbing, flat water boating, hiking and camping. These young adventurers will build on skills learned in previous CT programs as well as refresh themselves on the basics, meaning no previous experience is required. Students may learn climbing techniques for rock climbing, basic river reading skills and simple procedures for enjoying delicious meals while camping. Because every Camp Telluride program has a unique theme that is creatively designed by our talented instructors, participants will also partake in a kaleidoscope of other activities that may include field games, watershed education projects, geological expeditions, scavenger hunts, mine tours, visits to local museums, creative art projects and more. Because every CT 8-9 program is different they are a great option for both returning students looking to build their skill sets as well as first time participants.
