The Pacific North West is known for it’s spectacular coastline, luscious green forests and majestic mountains. It boasts a massive variety of unique plants and animals, thriving tidepools, active pods of killer whales and crystal clear ocean waters. Join Telluride Academy this summer to experience all the things that make the PNW special! We’ll start our trip with an adventure to Olympic National Park. Encompassing nearly a million acres of temperate rain forests and 70 miles of wild coastline, we’ll take to the trails for a hiking adventure you can only get in this area of the world. We’ll spend two days backpacking on the Ozette Loop, wandering over a boardwalk through the rainforest before finally reaching the pristine beaches of Olympic National Park. Next, we’ll catch the ferry to Orcas Island where we’ll set off on a 3-day sea kayaking excursion with Orcas Outdoors! Paddle from island to island for an overnight ocean adventure of a lifetime. When we arrive back to Orcas Island from our Kayaking trip, we’ll explore Moran State Park and ride bicycles through the beautiful landscape of this famous San Juan Island. We’ll spend a couple days in Seattle eating fresh seafood at Pike’s Place Market and taking in the city views at the Space Needle before flying home and saying goodbye to the new friends we’ve made. Join us on this NEW and exciting PNW Adventure!
