Pedal, pedal, pedal… giddy up! Telluride Academy’s “Ride” program allows you to ride your bike AND ride a horse, all in one week! During this epic adventure, we will spend time cruising the trails on our mountain bikes and learning to care for, groom and ride horses at Old Sawmill Ranch! Our first day will be spent learning bike maintenance and building skills before we take to the trails for a local single-track ride. The second day will be spent with Pam Brownlie at Lone Eagle Ranch in Norwood to learn the basics of all things “horse.” On Wednesday, we’ll venture back to Norwood for our overnight! We’ll split our time crushing single-track at the Thunder Trails, cruising the new pump track at Lone Eagle and getting comfortable with our beloved four-legged friends. Get off your feet and onto the saddles for a new adventure experience!
*All participants must have cowboy boots and jeans to work with the horses. All participants are required to provide their own bike and helmet. Bikes can be rented at Boot Doctors.
