Saddle up and get ready to ride! During this week long ranch program we'll learn the ins and outs of horse care and maintenance, communication with horses, plus the different aspects of trail riding, including backing-up, water crossing and maneuvering through a variety of obstacles. Intermediate and advanced Wranglers will focus on some fundamental aspects of horses including horse care, maintenance, feeding, farrier care, different types of tack and move onto trotting, posting and loping. In this camp all riders will develop strong practical skills with horses and advanced riders will also be challenged with more obstacle courses and trail rides. We'll spend a week at the legendary Circle K Ranch, near Rico, Colorado, which offers plenty of hiking trails, a low ropes course, rustic bunk houses and the Dolores River for cooling off after a dusty day on the trail. When we’re not with our horses, we'll explore the ranch, go swimming, play games and go for hikes. End this adventure with a horse show for your family and friends.
